| Recent Initiatives: |
- Model Bye Laws have been circulated to all Cooperative Housing Societies for adoption to improve & bring uniformity in functioning of Cooperative Housing Societies. All Cooperative Housing Societies have adopted these Model Byelaws. As per Model Byelaws all Cooperative Housing Societies are restricted to complete their projects within three years.
- The Societies are restricted to complete their projects within three years.
- Election Rules, 2004 have been amended. Elections are held through secret ballot. In these Rules ban has been imposed to contest elections of a Society for the third term. Three Elections of the Societies were held from 31-07-2006 to 31-05-2007.
- Audit of all Cooperative Housing Societies was held during the financial year 2005-06. Annual audit of 19 Cooperative Housing Societies has been completed during the current financial year 2005-06.
- Inspections of 6 Cooperative Societies are being conducted regularly to improve their working.
- AGMs of all Cooperative Housing Societies were held during the last financial year 2005-06. So far 22 Cooperative Housing Societies have held AGMs.
- Directions have been issued to Societies for consolidation of land.
- All the Societies have been directed to get NOC from Registrar.
- All the Societies have directed to get NOC of Registrar as well as concerned Development Authority.
- Member Planning CDA has been requested to expedite the cases of NOCs of Societies .
- Elections of seven Cooperative Housing Societies were held during the year 2006 and Elections of three Cooperative Housing Societies have been held during the year 2007.
